What's happening in 2016 in Kid's Fashion

WHAT WILL BE HAPPENING IN 2016...

According to Earnshaws, the ultimate publication in need to know fashion trends for kids, the sky is sort of the limit right now...

Fashion trends for this year seem to be following our brainwaves as a culture- they are all over the map. Both literally and figuratively.
WeConnectFashion, a leading b2b fashion industry network even illustrates this with their forecast of the fashion trend "Traveler's Notebook", an adventurous virtual tour in patterns reflecting maps and postage stamps..

And back to Earnshaws, as we continue to turn our hearts towards exploration, we follow up the star gazing celestial trends of Fall 2015 with "Grey Matter", or shades of grey, silver and metallics, reflecting the unknown and outer limits of our World-

Mixing and matching patterns is also on high gear, (and as well should be when we are talking about Children, who really know how to rock that eclectic look!), Polka dots, with stripes, with zigs and with zags. There's no rules, just as there are none in the World around us when it comes to color play.

Animal prints always factor well when it comes to mixing patterns and that brings me back to more of Earnshaws predictions. The "Wild Side" is completely on trend in 2016, and available in multiple shades.

Animal prints have long been a mainstay for kids who seem to be naturals at tapping into their inner cat, giraffe, panda and whatnot. Well it's time to wear those bold prints on their sleeves, literally, in all their glory!
He/she is your little wild cat, or monkey, right?

So what is the main takeaway for 2016? Expression, exploration, mingling and mashup. we are living in in many ways tumultuous times sometimes, but it's a great big universe, with plenty more out there to see. Let's be a part of it, and let's encourage our children to get to know it, express themselves in it, and learn from it... And with that, hope to see you in 2016!
